So… it’s winter… it’s cold… and your number 1 priority right now is to keep warm, right? Right. Well, instead of turning on the heat, why not do somehthing way more eco friendly instead… drink until you’re warm!
The lovely folks at WineStyle Magazine (which is a really great quarterly food & wine publication btw) have very thoughtfully planned a Winter Wine party for you to do exactly that.
A wopping 24 wine estates will be coming together to look after you while you enjoy some live music and tasty food. This will not be a traditional wine tasting style festival, you will actually be mingling with the wine makers who will be making their way through the crowd ensuring that everyone gets to sample some of their best wines.
Music wise they have lined up Andy Jund and a reggae band called the Rivertones. As for food, Simon’s will be doing a special tasting menu AND there will be 10 market stalls selling all kinds of delicous things.
Key info to take note of:
- When? 2 sessions: Fri, 3 Aug (4-10pm) & Sat, 4 Aug (12-9pm)
- Where? Simon’s restaurant @ Groot Constantia (if you haven’t yet been, you’re totally missing out, cause this place is absolutely beautiful)
- How much? Only R100 a ticket available on Webtickets here. (Or R120 at the door – but you don’t want to risk it, there might not be any tickets left!)
I’m going to be doing the Saturday session. So hopefully I’ll see you guys there.
