The Café Caprice and Grey Goose Boy Auction

So it’s Women’s Month (yes, I’m claiming the whole month) and what better way to celebrate than by oogling hot half naked boys, right? ;)

This is exactly what we got to do this past Sun at Cafe Caprice with Grey Goose Vodka, which was certainly a huge step up from the sad Carte Blanche & M-Net movie routine I seem to have gotten myself stuck into over these past few cold winter months…

But now this wasn’t just us checking out some hotties for the sake of it, it was all for a really good cause.  Funds raised from the evening went to Sisters Incorporated which is a safe house for abused women and their children based in Clareinch.  They offer not only accommodation, counselling and medical care but also help ensure that the kids stay in school and they also provide skills training for the moms where they can learn everything from beadwork to computer skills.  Knowing that schooling & skills training is such an integral part in helping people get back on their feet, I know this charity is doing some great things for these ladies who need some extra support.

So how did it all work?  Well there were 5 hot boys up for auction and the highest female bidder would get to go on a hot date of horse riding & wine tasting.  The boys were (in order of appearance):

  • Expresso presenter: Graeme Richards-Full
  • Surfer/MC/TV presenter/model: Dene Botha
  • Chartered Accountant student & sports model: Sean Sanders
  • Heat Man Watch winner & USN ambassador: Christo Du Plessis
  • The Wild actor: Tyrone Keogh

But before all the excitement kicked off, we first got to sip on some Grey Goose Vodka cocktails for a bit of “auction courage” I guess and we filled up with yummy canapes including the most amazing mini burgers I have had, like ever.  I had heard the legend of these mini burgers way back in March at the Caprice Volleyball tournament.  It was all everyone was talking about that day, which is pretty impressive considering there were hot chicks in tiny bikinis everywhere. But now I know why!
Our auctioneer for the evening was the beautiful and talented actress & TV/radio presenter, Natalie Becker.  She was looking incredibly hot in a black one shoulder, floor lengh dress with a gold waist belt.  Not sure where the dress was from, but I want one too…

Next up we were given our auction paddles, which suspiciously looked like a pretty hand mirror with a number written on the one side…

But hey, this was actually a sweet bonus cause you could check your lipgloss every now and again without having to pop to the ladies.  Clearly a woman had thought of this.  Everyone knows you need to look your best when you’re bidding for a hot man to take home with you. :)

My number was “62″ and I chose a hot pink paddle (of course).  Here’s me with Leigh & Clouds, getting ready to stretch those arms & put up those hands:

We had some seriously tough competiton though, just check out this jam-packed crowd:

Um… problem…

They first introduced the boys to us with their shirts on. :(   You know, so you could get to know them a little etc.  But then when the bidding started, the shirts came off!  I’m therefore not going to bore you with any shirt on pics, I’m jumping straight to the good stuff.  Cause I’m awesome like that…

Graeme!

Dene!

Sean!

Christo!

And Tyrone!

Tyrone topped the night by being sold for a cool R3500, with Sean a close 2nd.  But all the boys did really well to bring in funds for a very worthy cause and also by bringing beautiful eye candy to the ladies of Cape Town.

The evening was finished off with some group shots.  Here is the lovely Natalie with the boys:

Then we pushed her out of the way and got in on the action ourselves. :)

Now I did not walk away with any of the boys myself.  But that was OK cause I had my very own hot eye candy waiting for me back home (bonus points with the BF – much needed after he had to endure me slowly reviewing my pics from the night. hehe).

Well done to Brandnew Marketing for a really fun event.  I’m looking forward to next year.

xxx

PS.  How evil do I look in this pic from the official photo stack?  I look like I’m plotting world domination and thinking “Where are my damn minions???”

Fail… hehe
