A while back I told you about a new Cape Town based, proudly South African online fashion store called Indiemode which was scheduled to launch at the end of Aug (you can check out my original post over here). I played model for them and got a bit of an inside scoop into the awesome things they would be featuring and I’ve been dying to tell you a little more…
So Indiemode is now live and I’m already working on my wish list.
First up, here’s a little summary of the jewellery & accessories I’m currently lusting after:
From top, left to right:
- Chevron Geometric Cut-Out Necklace by Genevieve Motley (R188);
- Engraved Vintage Camera Cut-Out Heart Brooch by Genevieve Motley (R138);
- Chandelier Earrings in Gold by White Rabbit Days (R108);
- Sam Clutch in Ivory Snake Print by Mula Designs (R999);
- Black Onyx Stones on Tan Leather Necklace by Joy Jewellery (R508);
- Crossbody Handbag in Pista Gobi by Mula Designs (R1423);
- Indhi Tan Leather Belt by Indhi Design Studio (R532);
- Bird Brooch by A Bird Named Frank (R170);
- Dagger Earrings in Silver by Famke Jewellery Design (R578)
And how good is the pricing? I mean there really is something there for every budget and I’m certainly a girl who really loves a good deal. On the clothing front, my wardrobe definitely needs these pieces:
From left to right:
- Boobtube Maxi Dress by Indhi Design Studio (R583);
- Floral & Leopard Print Tulip Skirt by Janie B Clothing (R280);
- Twist Dress by Tarien Malherbe “non-european™” (R673)
And these:
- Day Dress by Tarien Malherbe “non-european™” (R633);
- Floral Print Smocked Pants by Janie B Clothing (R360);
- Ponte Shift Dress with Belt by Mishah Designs (R540)
Oh and there’s also a few things on sale already which means you can get this really cute boho tank for example for only R200:
Indiemode offers you two easy and safe ways to pay, via EFT or Credit card and their standard delivery option to your nearest post office is FREE. For R80 however you can get your order delivered to your door and if you’re not happy with anything you’ve purchased, you have 14 days to return it.
I’m loving how online shopping is now really starting to take off in SA. Not only does it open you up to creative labels which you probably would never have come across otherwise, but buying online also means less time spent in queues and helping me save on queueing time is pretty damn cool in my book. AND to the guys: it now makes it easier to spoil that special lady in your life or get out of the dog box if you happened to do something stupid… like… coming home with a “tramp stamp” tattoo thanks to a drunken dare (I actually recently heard a story like this. Haha). Jewellery and clothes beat flowers in situations like those every single time. Just sayin’.
Happy shopping!
