Welcome Jozi shore into your life… do it, do it now…

Cape Town crazy man (and I mean crazy in a good way here), Anton Taylor, who also happens to be the winner of the 2011 International Man of Movember which he won with this very interesting, strange and seriously hot look over here:

Now that’s dedication to a cause folks… (Photo credit: pic sourced from Anton’s Facebook page)

Has been working on a new project called Jozi Shore which basically pokes fun at JHB vs CT stereotypes.  I watched the first episode a few weeks back and have been wanting to share it with you great folks, but for some reason I kept getting sidetracked…

But this week they launched episode 2 and I thought right, if you haven’t yet stumbled upon the awesomeness that is Jozi Shore, please let me be the person to bring this bit of light into your lives. ;)

The 1st episode was uploaded to YouTube back on 8 April and was accompanied by the following synopses:

Joburg’s biggest boets in search of the H2O scene in the Cape. Follow Anton and his gheys, guided by his hipster cousin, while they attempt to “integrate” into Cape Town culture.

Now watch what goes down:

Just love it…  Then this past Monday, episode 2 launched and the boys had this to say about it:

After losing their bag at the airport, the bruthas go in search of some special supplements.

Let’s see what happens:

“I am very good at doing sex”… classic… Really looking forward to the next one, that’s for sure.  Keep ‘em coming guys! Love your work…

Biking it in the summer sun

So with all the Christmas eating and general silly season overindulgence, I’ve been in desperate need of getting my wobbly butt movin’ & shakin’ again. ;)

But with the beautiful weather we’ve been having, it just seems a bit of a waste to spend your time indoors at the gym.  Much better option?  Getting on a bike and cruising from the Sea Point promenade all the way down to Camps Bay baby!

One minor problemo is that I don’t actually own a bike.  But luckily the folks at Virgin Active Green Point have me covered.  You see, if you’re a Virgin Active member you can take out their slick Schwinn cruiser bikes for a couple of hours of biking fun.  How awesome is that right?  So that’s what Bjorn and I decided to do the other day and just like that, we were off…

DSC03021

DSC03013

I have to note that this was only my 2nd time on a bike as an adult.  So I’m certainly no pro and still a little shaky.  You see I was totally put off riding a bike as a kid when something absolutely horrible happened to me… absolutely horrible I tell you… let me explain.  When I was little, all I wanted was a bright pink bike.  I asked Santa to please hook me up and promised to be a good girl and all that.  BUT THEN… Christmas came around and my little sister (who didn’t even want a bloody bike) got my bright pink bike of awesomeness and I got… dun dun dun… a purple one!?!  Purple…  purple!!!  I tried to suck it up, be the bigger person and all that, but every time I saw my little sister on MY pink bike I just wanted to push her off it.  Needless to say, biking became a hate activity for me and certainly wasn’t going to be my favourite pastime.  I also started hating the colour purple. :)

Anyways, fast forward to current day and I’m finally over that pink bike and ready to move on… (that only took like 20 plus years haha).  And for me, the best part of biking it on the promenade down to Camps Bay and back is the incredible views you get to take in.  I mean just check this out:

DSC03015

DSC03025DSC03026DSC03027

Can’t imagine anything better than that.  Can you?  This is definitely my new favourite way to get some fresh air in my lungs, get my body moving and make the most of summer all at the same time.

So hopefully I’ll see you guys on the promenade.  It’s like totally hot right now. ;)

Merry merry everybody!

DSC02796

Time to get into my belly!!! Mwhahahahahaha…

Shame, I’ve been keeping these little guys hostage for about a week now.  Sadly though, I can’t say things are going to get any better for them. ;)   It’s tough gig being a Lindt Xmas bear…

Just wanted to use this opportunity to say a quick Merry Christmas to all my readers who celebrate this holiday.  I hope you are having an amazing time with your loved ones, wherever you may be.  (I’m currently in Port Elizabeth, or as well call it the P of E, drinking cheap “champagne” and talking about how the new Spur is actually quite a fancy restaurant. Hehe. Love it.)

Keep safe.  Eat lots. And spread the looooooove people!

Bow Tie Fridays – it’s huge I tell you

A few months back, my friend Benny started celebrating Bow Tie Fridays.  I didn’t pay too much attention to it to be honest… but that all changed when I attended his Bow Tie Friday themed 30th bday celebration last week.  It was only then I realised the pure awesomeness of this trend.

You might be thinking “Aaarrgggh, but who, just who exactly made bow ties cool again!?!”  To me, it’s between 3 main culprits:

  1. The obvious one:  Hipsters

  2. That damn Chuck Bass guy from Gossip Girl:

  3. Dogs… yup, that’s right, dogs!

Whatevs, whoever’s to blame here, I don’t really care.  That’s cause it turns out, bow ties are just way too much fun!

bowtie_fridays

Lookin’ good guys & girls. Lookin’ good…

Sure, you’re gonna get your annoying hard core bow tie types… blah blah blah…

But trust me, there are many many easy options.  Be it clip-on or ready tied, it’s super easy to rock this look.

DSC02491

I mean come now, can you tell which one is the self tie one? Yeah, didn’t think so… ;)

Best part is that you also get to be pull the super smug bow tie face like ALL THE TIME.  Let me demonstrate:

DSC02492

Oh excuse me while I just correct my suave looking bow tie…

Another look which is a goodie is one I’m calling the “James Bond”:

DSC02509

What you lookin’ at punk?  Oh yeah, my kick ass bow tie…

Me thinks casual Fridays need a bit of a shake up, cause casual Fridays are like soooo last season.  Who’s with me?

A big up to my friend Ben for showing us the way.  Long live the bow tie!

Love it Ben  (Photo credit: Joseph Ou http://josephyou.wix.com/portifolio-2)

PS.  If you do a bit of Google research, you’ll discover that Bow Tie Friday is something which is celebrated all over the world.  I really dig that.  It’s like we’re all connected and stuff. :)

Cocktail party time…

So what’s a girl to do when you’re gifted two boxes of Orignal Cocktails?  Find some fabulous people and throw a party of course!  Now don’t worry, I am well aware of the fact that 2 boxes of cocktails do not a party make.  But luckily my ladies, Leigh & Clouds got gifted some as well.  So 6 boxes in and things were looking very promising indeed…

But what are Original Cocktails exactly?  Well these folks do tasty ready made cocktails made with real fruit juice & containing 5% alcohol.  They come in 6 different flavours: Pina Colada, Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan, Mojito & Singapore Sling and you can choose between 2L boxes which only require some chilling & serving, or 300ml sachets which come in a freeze or chill option.

For the freeze option, you give your sachet a good shake, pop it in the freezer for 8 hrs, squeeze, pour and voilà!

original_iced1Here’s me cracking open the the first box and getting the party started:

SAM_2083

Yeah baby…

And here’s the lovely Ritza tackling the slightly tougher job of squeezing out those freezer babies:

SAM_2090

Come on Ritza, you can do it!

After doing a good job of tasting every single one of the flavours, I can confirm that my personal favourites were the Cosmo, the Singapore Sling & the frozen Margarita.  And for the total convenience factor it also scores some extra points in my book.  I mean we didn’t even need to hire a fancy mixologist for the evening or anything… however… a half nekkid & totally studly barman wouldn’t have been too bad of an idea hey… hmmmm, maybe we can get him to do the pouring & squeezing next time. ;)

original_iced3

Clockwise from top left: Cosmo delight, me with Leigh, our party snack selection), me, Leigh, Clouds & Ritza)

BTW – the boys (who will not be named) didn’t want to be photographed at the risk of them advertising themselves as guys who love pink drinks… but just between you and me, they were happily sipping along. Hehe.

If you wanna give Original Cocktails a bash for yourself, hop on over to a bottle store near you.  For more Cape Town stockist info you can also contact Halewood International SA, the distributor for Original Cocktails, on 021 982 4100.  For other cities, you’ll find all the contact details you need over here.

Cheers to the silly season everyone! :)

PS. Thx to Leigh for letting me use some of her fabulous pics.  And also to Original Cocktails for supplying our “party fuel”.

The Coca-Cola crate man feels the Olympic spirit

When I was walking around the V&A last weekend after my Marine EcoTour, I noticed that the Coca-Cola crate man is now Olympic themed:

Don’t you just love this guy? He still makes me smile every single time…

That got me thinking about how well our guys & girls did in the London Olympics as well as the Paralympics which is wrapping up tomorrow.  It makes you feel all warm inside with pride, doesn’t it?  It also reinforces the thinking that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.  I just think we tend to forget that when you get bogged down by your day to day routine & stresses.

I love this quote by American columist, Doug Larson:

“Some of the world’s greatest feats were accomplished by people not smart enough to know they were impossible.”

I got all this deep stuff from the Coca-Cola crate man? Yup, I’m weird like that. ;)

Lushwill, the Bar One Man, puts me through my paces

On Wed eve myself, Leigh, Clouds and a friend you haven’t met yet, Jacki, headed over to The Last Word in Constantia to be introduced to a workout technique called Crossfit by Bar One Manhunt 2 hottie, Lushwill Rossouw.

Yup, that’s him there! Friends just call him Lush. ** I stole this piccie from his Facebook page btw **

For those who didn’t follow the Bar One Manhunt on SABC3, this is what it was about: 25 “tough dude” finalists from around the country were selected to compete against each other over a 10 week period in gruelling challenges which tested both their physical & mental strenght.  The show took them to interesting places including China & Zanzibar and it the end only one man could walk away with the Manhunt title.  Lushwill excelled on all fronts, but most importantly he became known for being the guy with the heart of gold.  I asked him what his toughest challenge was and he said it was definitely the ”leap of faith” they had to do off the Orlando Power Station towers in Soweto.  I’m not a fan of heights, or jumping off crazy things, so I totally feel him on that one.

Lushwill walked away with some seriously impressive prizes.  He won R500 000 in cold hard cash, a Mahindra XUV 500 valued at R 300 000 and a Harley-Davidson V-Rod Muscle 2012.  Some serious street cred earning man toys there…

Other than being the Bar One man, Lushwill is also a personal trainer & CrossFit enthusiast.  On Mon/Wed/Fri you’ll find him at the Virgin Active in Wembley Square and on Tue & Thu he teaches at the Cape CrossFit studio in Roodehek St, Gardens.  But what is CrossFit exactly?  CrossFit aims to get us back to the basics, ensuring we move the way our bodies were designed to and fixing the problems that are brought on by the desk & couch lifestyles we find ourselves stuck in today.  It combines elements of olympic training, functional training as well as gymnastics with the focus on movements which you would encounter in your every day life, i.e. pushing, pulling, squatting (on 1 leg or two), bending to extension & rotation.  There are no machines involved, free weights only, and they encourage healthy competition with group classes of on ave 10 ppl (up to a max of 15).  They typically do sets starting at a certain number and working your way down to 1, with the goal of trying to improve on your time with each training session.

And with results like these… I’m certainly fast becoming an enthusiast myself!  Enjoy ladies:

As a girl who tends to be a bit of a cardio junkie, I asked him what the best calorie burning forms of cardio are.  He said: 1. Skipping; 2. Rowing and 3. Running.  Instantly my brain was like, right, I’m buying a skipping rope this weekend. :)

Now let’s get down to our workout session.  The Last Word offered such a beautiful setting for our little “feel the burn” session and they really looked after us with healthy non-alcoholic fruit cocktails and yummy feel good snacks.

Here’s the gang: Clouds, Leigh, Lushwill, me and Jacki

I’d like to point out on this pic above that Clouds is wearing wedges, yes wedges!  And she actually said “at least I tried to dress down”.  Haha.  Yes this lady arrived with absolutely zero intention of getting her CrossFit on, instead she tried to convince us that we needed an official photographer, right?  Right guys?  And then Leigh is wearing Crocs.  Hmmm.  I’m not even going to go there. ;)

Anyhoo, after a quick warm up, we were off…

And squat… and lunge… and arms up in the air…

And back to those squats, but with meaning this time… burn baby burn…

But wait, wait just a second here… we seem to have lost someone…

Yup, Leigh had deserted us only a short way in.  What was she doing instead?  Well I think this shot explains it all…

Nice… real nice…

Oh and what about Clouds?

Hey official photog! Get off your phone!

So ja, Jacki & I were the two lone warriors, pushing through the pain, sweating blood and all that…

Look at that form, that stamina, that professionalism…

We worked right into the night!

OK OK, I’ll admit – it’s not as bad as it looks. We did arrive just before sunset. hehe.

After a very successful session, we were ready to show off our “guns”:

OK wait I’m not flexing properly in that pic, let me try again, with a close up this time:

Boom!  And after just one session…  But do you think it makes me looks a little too “butch”? ;)

A huge thanks to Lushwill for kick-starting my summer body prep, something I’ve been putting of week, after week, after week.  And then also to Jill from Zebra Square PR for setting this up.  I’m now 100% motivated to get fit again.  No more vegging on the couch!  Or at least a little less vegging on the couch (as a start at least).

Do follow Lushwill on Twitter – @lushwill – he’s a total sweetheart and an all round great guy.  What other reasons do you need?  Also hop on over to And Lollipops because Clouds took a peek into his wardrobe and you can check out all the deets over here.

Let’s all get moving folks – beach time is almost upon us.

Celebrate spring by hopping on a Marine EcoTour with OceanAdventurer

As part of their spring tourism campaign, I was invited by the V&A Waterfront to enjoy a leisurely boat trip this past Sunday.  Luckily the weather cleared up just in time and it turned out to be the perfect day to fill my lungs with some fresh sea air.

On the cards was a 90min Marine EcoTour on a 40 foot, custom-built, environmentally friendly catamaran run by the lovely folks of OceanAdventurer who’s created a really cool partnership with the Two Oceans
Aquarium who now trains all their on-board guides (who already are marine biologists) to make sure they’re like walking Wikipedia pages for the Western Cape waters.

My partner in crime for the trip was my friend Darryn who not only is a great boat companion but also happens to be a great photographer.  I knew he would be the guy to get the best shot in case we saw free Willy or something. ;)

Ready to roll… or should I say sail?

Our mode of transportation, quite the sporty looking honey, was actually originally designed as a high-performance sailing catamaran, but it’s since been modified to minimise its environmental impact and to also be nice and comfy for passengers…

Photo credit: Darryn van der Walt – http://www.darryvanderwalt.co.za

Yes, that’s me on my phone above… Tweeting pics and such of course.  All in a day’s work, so it’s totally acceptable.  :)

Our marine eco-expert was Jared – he took his time to carefully explain things like the Benguela current, the oceanic food web, our kelp forests and some interesting facts about the ocean wildlife we were likely to see.

Jared doing his thing

Heading out from the Clock Tower you get to take in a really nice view of the V&A.  One your don’t normally get to appreciate as (if you’re like me) you’re power walking from one shop to the other with short refueling breaks at coffee shops in between.

Photo credit: Darryn van der Walt – http://www.darrynvanderwalt.co.za

I got slightly nervous when I spotted a pirate ship following us…

But luckily they were party boat pirates… the best kind! Woohoo!  I feel a bday party idea coming on…

Then as you leave the V&A harbour, you look back at the most beautiful view of Cape Town – best showcased by this photo Darryn snapped with his pro camera (me & my little “click and go” which I’ve dropped on several occasions just had no chance in hell to compete):

Photo credit: Darryn van der Walt – http://www.darrynvanderwalt.co.za

Pretty soon into our journey we spotted some dolphins!  They came up quite close to the boat, but they’re sneaky buggers and move way too fast for you to get a decent shot.

My best attempt…

But Darryn luckily got a great shot of one of them breaching:

Photo credit: Darryn van der Walt – http://www.darrynvanderwalt.co.za

These guys are called Heaviside’s dolphins and they are only found off the Namibian and Cape West coasts.  They are quite small, with blunt heads and their bodies are a mix of dark & light grey with cute little white underbellies.  They were very pretty up close and also very playful.  Showing off and stuff… the ocean’s version of a show diva I’d say.

We also saw some Cape Fur Seals, penguins and various sea birds.  But these guys really don’t know how to schmodel, they just wouldn’t sit still. Sooooo unprofessional… ;)   Unlike me, who’s a total pro by now:

See now that’s how it’s done…  Photo credit: Darryn van der Walt – http://www.darrynvanderwalt.co.za

The only great animal pic I got was of this big stinky boy as we docked again:

He smelled really really bad, but he’s still beautiful OK. Just look at that pose. So hot daaahling.

This was really such a great way to get out, get some fresh air, do something different and also learn a few things.  I guess if you’re a Capetonian, you might see this as more of a “touristy thing”.  Yeah, tourists will love this I’m sure, but I don’t think we as locals should shut ourselves off from seeing our city through tourist eyes.  It’s kinda like having a great sea view at home.  You see it every single day and after a while you barely notice it anymore.  Then someone comes over to visit and is all “Oh my word, you are so lucky, this view is insane”.  All of a sudden you look at it with fresh eyes again.  That’s kinda how I felt on this outing and I think that’s pretty damn cool.

Now let’s get down to the nitty-gritty:

  • Cost:  R180 for adults, R90 for kids under 12 yrs
  • 3 Marine EcoTours a day:  11am, 13:30 & 16:00
  • All tours last 90min
  • They depart from the jetty in front of the Clock Tower (also used by the Robben Island ferry), but tickets are sold on the Pierhead side (just on the other side of the swing bridge).  You can also do group/individual bookings in advance if you contact David de Villiers on 021 421 5565 / 073 216 6447 / david@ocean-adventurer.com
  • There is a cash bar on board with beers, soft drinks & snacks
  • They can also do sunset tours (R220 for adults & R110 for kids under 12 yrs) as well as special rates for school groups.
  • Oh and ladies:  wear flat, comfy shoes and bring something warm.  The sea air gets a bit chilly.

ALSO they have been spotting whales recently, so if you can’t make the trip to Hermanus, this might be a much easier option. :)

High tea at the beautiful Table Bay Hotel

Last Saturday, right in the middle of a mini Cape Storm, Bjorn and I got to enjoy a relaxing & indulgent afternoon of High Tea at the Table Bay Hotel in the V&A Waterfront.

Now this hotel has always been a favourite of mine.  I’ve been there for a few events and have also been to their Camelot Spa for a little treat for myself, but their restaurant & High tea are two things I had not yet had the pleasure of experiencing.

Every time I walk into that reception hall I’m blown away by how beautiful this hotel is.  It’s got that old world charm to it, rich colours, atrium style windows, furniture with a gorgeous antique feel, the kind of space which immediately makes you you think of royalty and how they probably live…

So the challenge for the afternoon:  High Tea consisting of 3 courses, each course carefully paired with fine teas from TWG.  TWG is a Singapore based company (just so you know).  They source the best tea leaves, spices and flavour-packed ingredients from all around the world, making their tea something quite special.  Food wise you’re also in really good hands because the High Tea menu has been specially created by the Table Bay executive chef, Jocelyn Myers.

As we settled into our seats and took in the waterfront views, our waiter came to say hi:

This is Frankie.  He painstakingly brought us our food crumb by crumb… like the little piece he has there next to him…

OK OK, that didn’t actually happen. :)   But that would have been a pretty awesome Disney moment, right?  Our real waiter was Sergio and he was an absolute sweetheart.  He didn’t even blink an eye when I put milk & sugar into one of my teas, which when it comes to top quality tea, that’s like asking for All Gold tomato sauce at a fine dining spot…

For the first course however, I was brave and went for the Royal Darjeeling tea without any milk or sugar.  And I was really surprised.  I didn’t need to add anything because the flavour just popped.  Bjorn had the Lung Ching tea, which is a green tea and according to Sergio his top choice for that particular course.  Now courses one & two are served at your table and then for course three, they let you loose on the cake buffet.

We kicked things of with some fancy finger sandwiches:

Clockwise from left: egg mayo, cucumber & cream cheese, veggie wrap and salmon & cream cheese.

But it doesn’t stop there, they also bring you a selection of mini quiches:

From front to back: mushroom & ham, bacon and salmon.

Normally I don’t really enjoy quiches, especially when they’ve got that soggy eggy texture to them. Blegh.  But these had a nice crispy crust and were totally yum.

Course number 2 is probably one of my favourite things in the world:  scones with fresh cream & preserves.  You just don’t get better than that.

You get a selection of scones: in the front you have a plain one, then in the back there’s a raisin scone and on the right is my favourite out of the bunch, a red pepper scone. This is then paired with a plum preserve, fresh cream, clotted cream & lemon curd.

This was so good, we asked for a 2nd round of scones.  Forgot to mention with course 1, you can even ask for a refill! :)   Paired with our scones we both opted for the French Earl Grey tea.  This is where I crumbled and added the milk & sugar.  Just because I’m used to having my Earl Grey that way.  But I think Bjorn was a bit embarrassed. hehe.

To catch our breath a bit before we tucked into course number 3, Sergio brought us some of the recommended teas for the last course to see & smell:

Beautiful right?  Clockwise from top left: Pink Flamingo green tea, Red Christmas rooibos tea, Bain de Roses black tea (there’s an extra cost for this one though) and the Number 12 black tea (you can see there it has some coffee beans & dried coconut mixed in with the tea leaves)

They all had such an incredible aroma, but I looove pink, so my choice was easy peasy:

The Pink Flamingo! It kinda smelt like Turkish delight, but not quite. I’m still trying to figure out what it reminds me off.

It was at this point Bjorn let me in on his “buffet conspiracy theory”.  He was like: “You see, they fill you up with the sandwiches and scones, delicious as they were, but in the hope that you’ll be too full to overindulge at the cake table.  But they won’t get me.. I’ll show ‘em…”  I had to laugh (a lot).  The look of determination in his eyes was quite impressive.  Obviously some kind of previous buffet trauma was still haunting him. ;)   He was very serious about this, something which was quite evident when you compared our two cake plates.  This was mine:

A good selection I thought…

But this was his:

Right… where to start…

I couldn’t even finish mine, but he worked through his plate like a man on a mission.  I just had to steal this piccie from his Instagram feed to show you:

hehehehehehehe…

Now I was pretty full after this amazing treat.  My stomach had kinda popped out like a little pregnant belly.  But needless to say, a certain someone felt a little more uncomfortable than that… My advice:  Just pace yourself and you’ll be fine.  There’s no need to rush and also no need to panic. ;)

A huge thank you to Sarah Prins, the PR Manager at Sun International for setting this up for us.  This was certainly a very special treat and we loved every single minute of it.

Important things to note:

  • High Tea takes place daily from 14:30 to 17:30
  • The cost is R185 per person
  • Rather be safe than sorry and call ahead to book a table:  021 406 5988

Let them eat cake!

Cosmo lingerie 2012: the girls, the wings and the boiled egg

The Cosmopolitan Lingerie show has certainly become the annual event you don’t want to miss.  For the guys it’s for obvious reasons – you get to see some of SA’s hottest models strut their stuff on stage half naked.  For the girls – it’s the fantasy element I think.  The over-the-top wings, feathered head pieces, S&M inspired accessories and more.  It certainly focuses more on the “show” part of fashion show and it’s 100% hot…

This year’s event took place at the Southern Sun Cape Sun Hotel in Strand St, which at first I thought was a really odd choice because the hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside.  Once inside though, I had that “a ha” moment.  The interior is quite impressive.  From waterfall chandeliers dripping from the celing to a neon lit bar with a water feature backdrop.  It was very cool indeed.

I sadly have to admit that I was a total dumbass and forgot to check whether my camera was charged before heading out that evening.  And as luck would have it, my battery was pretty much DEAD.  Once the show started, I only managed to get 2 shots and then that was it for the rest of my evening…

Luckily though I found some great piccies on the Cosmopolitan website in their gallery section, so at least I can show you what the lovely ladies looked like up close:

Photo credits: Top – Peter Lambert; Bottom left – Jan Dorfling; Bottom right – Ray Cox

You can check out the full gallery over here.  And boys – I suggest you certainly do that. ;)

Now in attendance was your regular Cape Town who’s who, fashion folks and event circuit regulars.  It was a tightly guarded guest list and I purely made the cut because my very own Bjorn happens to be last year’s Cosmo Sexiest Man calendar Mr December.  Yup – I’m a lucky girl…  But I think the most “special” person in attendance has to be a certain fur coat wearing individual who mid show decided to whip out a hard boiled egg which he brought along as a snack?! and proceeded to peel and enjoy much to the dismay of the people seated next to him.  I first noticed this guy when I arrived cause I thought that the coat was a bit “flash” and still tweeted that I felt like I had just walked onto the set of the new XXX movie.  But who could have predicted that the coat was actually storing an egg??  I know this story probably sounds hard to believe, but luckily Dylan Savage from Life Is Savage has photographic evidence over here.  Check it out – it’s awesome.  I have no clue who this guy is and what he does for a living, but one thing’s for sure, he’s one of a kind.

So ja, certainly an eventful night out.  We didn’t make it to the after party which was at Club 31 in the ABSA builiding (the old Hemisphere) because 1. Capetonians are lazy and will rarely make the move to a 2nd venue.  And 2. Instead, Bjorn and I decided to go back to mine to watch a So You Think You Can Dance marathon until like 3am in the morning… cause we’re rock stars like that…  I left the show feeling extremely motivated to get my ass back into gym and start eating super healthy so I too could look that hot in my undies & wings (maybe I have some, maybe I don’t).  Sadly by like 11am the next day, that motivation disappeared as I started digging ito snacks provided by a Masterchef style challenge at work.  Gotta love the corporate world – they dig organised stuff like that.  But this week’s the week, I can feel it. Or… maybe next week… :)
