Call It Spring V&A launch (girl & guy shoe happiness)

DSC06421On Wed eve I attended the official launch party for the new Call It Spring store in the V&A Waterfront. (it’s on the upper level, right next to the soon-to-be home of Topshop/ Topman, i.e. where Mango used to be)

Now knowing that I was going to be faced with an awesome selection of shoes, I had given myself a little pep talk before leaving the flat… it went a little like this:  ”Remember K, you do not NEED any more shoes.  You have NO MORE wardrobe space.  So just take it easy OK.”  Ja… that didn’t work!  Let me show you why…

Call It Spring is a Canadian brand with over 200 stores worldwide.  SA got it’s first Call It Spring store in 2012 and here in Cape Town you would’ve maybe spotted them at Canal Walk already.  I rarely make it out to Canal Walk, so hadn’t actually had time to check them out before.

Call It Spring specialises in on trend footwear & accessories at really affordable prices (hence my problem with trying to leave that damn store without buying anything). Their Fall/winter range is called “Almost Famous” and draws it’s inspiration from the young music scene.  Check out the video over here - it gives you a nice feel for the look they’re going for.

But back to the V&A store in particular.  This is what you’re in for:

We were treated to some amazing cocktails & the best (yet worst for your bum) snacks I’ve had in a while.  Check it out:

callitspring3

I’m such a sucker for “mini” anything… mini burgers, mini hot dogs, mini freakin’ anything… just get it into my mouth!

And the talented Adrian Culhane was there to create some great shopping ambience…

DSC06484

He certainly had a tough job fighting for some acknowledgement with a mob of shoe obsessed chicks in the store. But he held his own & we took notice.

Right, but enough talking now… let the “shoe porn” begin… ;)  First up – some things for the ladies:

callitspring4

From left to right: cowboy boots R699, knee boots R799 & say hello to a Pretty Woman homage with these sexy boots at R899

callitspring5

Clockwise from top left: moccasins R499, deep red suede shoes R599, red ankle boot R599 & studded pumps R399

I was also really drawn to these sneaker wedges – a trend that I’ve been totally hating on since it’s appearance, but for some reason, these I just had to have:

DSC06515

R499 – but sadly they didn’t have my size…  what do you guys think?  I did a quick Twitter poll on the night and it seemed they were a hit.

On the accessories front, they’ve also got some great bags, scarves, hats & jewellery:

callitspring_accessories1

Just an idea on prices – the bag is R399 and the necklaces at the top were R99 each.

Now for the guys:

callitspring6

Clockwise from top left: bright sneakers R599, boots R999, navy or black sneakers R599 and moccasins also at R599.

callitspring7

Clockwise from top left: cowboy style boot R699, smart shoes R599, two tone sneakers R599 & suede shoes also at R599

And sing it with me now… Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur…

Guys are also covered with some great accessory options:

Ooh and if you pop in store now, you can still get some of their summer/spring end of season goodies on sale:

callitspring_sale

Really loved that butterfly clutch which is on sale for only R255 – just couldn’t decide whether to get the beige or pink one.

But what did I go home with?  Ta da:

myloot

Ring – R79, wedge booties R499 and gold sneakers R499. Love?

I was very very chuffed with my loot, that’s for sure.  A big thanks to the Call It Spring team and to Kerrin Tessendorf, PR manager at House of Busby for allowing me to join in on all the fun.  You’ve definitely hooked a new customer in me.

DSC06525

Here with Leigh, Kerrin & Clouds.

Oh and before I forget… they had a photo booth on the night and the winning pic will walk away with a whopping R5000 Call It Spring voucher.  Does this face say “I totally deserve all those shoes”?

Or is it more “I’m so freakin’ high on the smell of suede & leather right now, I could pop”? Dunno…

Great fashion finds (for guys & girls) at Metropolis

DSC04002I recently discovered new fashion boutique Metropolis in Kloof St (thanks to the boyfriend – I promised I’d give him credit for this one ;) ).

It’s the kind of place where your budget is not safe in any way…  Shopaholics beware!

They stock a great selection of imported things, which means you’ll find that special something that nobody else will have (love that).  And if you’re looking for something different, something with some serious edge or something that will be a definite talking piece, this is the place to go.

metropolis1

I love that they’ve got both guys and girls covered under one roof.  Yes yes, the girls section is bigger (I mean come on, shopping is like our crack), but at least your man has something to look at as well while you shop away…

metropolis_mens

Some things I spotted in the men’s section…

The ladies section like I said is more extensive.  Whether you’re in a bit of a rocker mood:

metropolis_ladies1

Or feelin’ the feminine vibes:metropolis_ladies2

Or just really want to make a statement:metropolis_ladies3

There’s something here for everybody.  I for one just couldn’t leave this amazing leather jacket behind:

metropolis_jacket

How gorgeous is that jacket? (was R1125) I actually can’t wait for the colder weather to kick in now… gonna rock this baby like it’s nobody’s business.

Oh my goodness, and don’t even get me started on their accessories.  I really had to hold myself back from buying up the entire store.

metropolis_acc1

metropolis_acc2

Seen something you like?  Then you should definitely pay them a visit.  Like now. :)  I heard a rumour about a sale.  So maybe you can still catch some extra special deals.

NB info:

  • Address:  Located next to City Varsity, Shop 5 Mooikloof Centre, 34 Kloof St
  • Opening Hours: Mon – Fri: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Sat: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm & Sun: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Happy shopping folks.  You can totally blame me if your bank manager asks what the hell happened to all your savings…

Dark Horse & Kingdom brings amazing things together under one roof

DSC03943

The few weeks ago I told you about the new Woodstock Exchange in Albert Rd.  It’s the new home of Superette as well as lots of other great creative spaces and a definite must see if you’re looking for that something different for yourself or your home.

Anyways, I went back for another visit recently because there’s this shop called Dark Horse & Kingdom which I fell in love with the first time I saw it and I just had to go back to take some piccies to show you guys what amazing things they have…

DSC03893

DSC03879

DSC03910

DSC03917

Now as the name would suggest, it’s actually two labels sharing one roof.  Dark Horse is a Cape Town based design studio which makes beautiful leather goods and some rather quirky furniture (oh and their actual studio has also found a new home at The Woodstock Exchange – you’ll find it on the first floor).  Whereas Kingdom searches the world (think India, Morocco, Europe, etc) for unique treasures and then brings them together in one store for you to explore without having to fork out any travel costs yourself.  How much do  you love that?

darkhorse1

Some of the Dark Horse leather goods. Absolutely love that leather laptop bag.

darkhorse2

Some great South African finds are also included in the Kingdom stock. This is such a great place to find that “talking piece” you’ve been searching for.

The store also stocks a small fashion selection for both ladies & gents:

darkhorse3

They source Dutch labels and such. So again, in keeping with the “something different” theme.

Guys will especially love their selection of panama hats, leather bow ties and poor boy caps to create that perfectly suave, vintage look:

darkhorse4

And girls will love their wide range of fun & striking accessories:

darkhorse5

I was lusting over quite a few things.  But the following were my absolute favourites:

DSC03883

Beaded clutch – R800.  Paired with a sexy LBD, yes please.

DSC03913

Art piece – R860.  I know, they look kinda sad… But that’s exactly why I had an undying want to take them home with me!

DSC03907

Didn’t get the price of these art deco style cups & saucers. But how stunning are they? Almost too pretty to use, but I definitely would.

DSC03911

Colourful sling bag – R660.  I’d be the most fashionable person at the next music festival for sure.

But sadly I’m currently trying to save up for something quite big I can’t talk about just yet… so I had to leave these beautiful babies behind. :(   ** my heart has a big hole in it now **
But maybe you guys can go shop there and then tell me what you got and that way I’ll just vicariously shop through you?

So to recap:

  • You’ll find them at:  66 – 68 Albert Rd, Woodstock Exchange Building, Ground Floor Retail – Unit AG09
And their opening hours are Mon – Fri 10am to 4pm and Sat 10am to 3pm.  Go spend, spend away! (I’m totally envious)

Interview with Nina Jarebrink

Image provided by Zebra Square

How gorgeous is this woman on the left???

She’s the kind of girl you want to hate, but then you meet her and she’s an absolute sweetheart and you just can’t!  Aaarrgh. ;)

Her name is Nina Jarebrink and not only is she beautiful, but she’s also mega talented.  Nina is a top Swedish designer (now based in Oslo, Norway) who’s designs are sold all over the world, including most recently in South Africa.  She’s known for beautifully tailored & feminine pieces, elegant knitwear and bold jewellery & accessories.

I got to sit down with her while in Johannesburg for the SA Style Awards to pick her brain on all things fashion & to get a feel for what inspires her.  I will admit that I was quite nervous cause I’m not a journalist or fashion expert by any means.  But 30 seconds into our chat I felt totally at ease because Nina’s just so lovely & so passionate about what she does, the conversation flowed without much thought…  Just two girls chatting about clothes & travel.  Two of my favourite topics.

Some of Nina’s gorgeous things (Photo credit: All images take from http://www.jarebrink.com)

Nina says she’s always loved clothes and her mom even used to make clothes for her when she was a kid.  At one point she thought she might become a lawyer after school,   but then she changed her mind and decided to study Industrial Design instead.  This turned out not to be her true calling as she didn’t care too much for the inner workings of manufacturing and such, so she went in search of something else.  She ended up spending half a year living in Barcelona and found the city incredily inspiring, which led to her putting down some jewellery designs on paper.  She got her first break in 2004 with a jewellery line and things just grew from there (and fast too).  Her jewellery was so popular that people started asking her whether she doesn’t do clothing as well.  She figured “why not?” and 6 months later she had a 2 page spread in Spanish magazine, Neo2 and was asked to be part of Paris Fashion Week.  Talk about “making an entrance” into the fashion world hey.

She says she’s also always loved knitwear.  She says it is because it’s something anybody can wear, it doesn’t matter who you are or what your style / shape is.  Also remember she comes from a very cold climate originally, so she’s sticking to her roots in a way.  All her knitwear have a pattern which is very unique to the Nina Jarebrink label, so that makes the pieces just a little more special.  She says she started off production of her range with a very small 100 yr old factory in Sweden.  But today she uses a factory in Portugal which also produces items for other big labels like Cloe & Givenchy.

I asked her why the move to Norway then?  Well that’s because she met her fiancé there & decided to make it her home.  She also loves Norway’s scenic natural surroundings with it’s incredible fjords & turquoise water.

When I asked her what inspires her, she said many different things really.  Her 2012 Autumn/Winter range, for example, was inspired by the 1964 movie, The Killers.  While her 2013 Spring/Summer range was inspired by the beaches of Portugal as well as her family home in Varberg, Sweden which is also a quick 15min away from the beach.  The range is all about the golden sunshine, the sand under your feet & the crystal blue water…  Nina’s very much an outdoorsy person and enjoys everything from pilates on the beach to cross-country skiing.  Brave girl.  I have no co-ords, so I won’t be attempting that one myself.  I tend to stick to things where I can keep a cocktail in one hand. :)

What makes Nina Jarebrink designs unique?  She says she’s not really sure, but she’s been told many times that there’s just something about her designs which always stands out as truly Nina.  She says she tries to just make things that she would personally love to wear, things that she’d feel good in, so she stays true to her own personal style.

And as a last question I was like, right, we’re going into summer now and for Capetonians that means going from the beach to some amazing pool party or sunset drinks on the Camps Bay strip.  What would be the key summer look to take you effortlessly from day to night?  This was an easy one for Nina – a kaftan.  You can wear it with flats to the beach and then shake things up with some sexy heels and bold accessories for the evening.  Plus they’re also super flattering & comfy.  Sold!  I’m going to be on the hunt for the perfect kaftan now…

Cool by the pool.  Cause that’s how we roll…

Just before I had to say goodbye, I noticed Nina’s nails.  She was rocking this really cool Crododile leather nails look from Dior’s Golden Jungle range – basically you get two nail varnishes in the set, a gold one and a khaki green colour.  Once applied over each other, you get this:

Love it?  I do…

I was given her 2013 Summer look book to take home and I can tell you guys, I want pretty much everything in it.  The boyfriend was hovering over me while I was paging through it and he kept going “wow, that’s sexy”, “oooh, that’s hot” with the turn of each page.  So Nina gets a big stamp of approval from him as well. ;)

** Sadly because Europe’s like two seasons ahead of us, we’ll only see these items in SA from mid 2013 onwards – but it will be worth the wait **

Oooh and looky what else I got to take home with me, a pair of 24 karat gold plated earrings all the way from Portugal:

I already wore them to an event this week and they were a huge hit.

Nina only does gold when it comes to her jewellery & accessories.  I guess you could say she’s gold obsessed.  I must admit, I used to only wear silver cause I had this impression of gold being totally old fashioned (those 80s style thick gold chains with ugly coin or big 5 pendants could’ve had something to do with that though).  But over the past few years its crept into my wardrobe and now most of the accessories I wear tend to be on the gold side of things.  So I think I’m on the same train.

Nina’s designs can currently be bought from various high end boutiques in Johannesburg & Pretoria.  And here in Cape Town there is currently only one stockist and that’s Habits.  But I hear an online store might be on the cards for early next year.  You guys know how much I looooove online shopping.  But until then, pop into Habits to check out her things in person.  And for more info on SA stockists, etc – you can contact Brandgroup International on 011 440 3235.

To Nina:  A big thank you for chatting to me & for my beautiful gift!  You are awesome lady. :)

Mixed feelings about my first online purchase from Zando

Over the past 3 months I’ve become totally addicted to online clothing shopping.  It’s just soooooo much easier than missioning for parking, schlepping around a busy shopping centre and standing in painful “kill-me-now” queues.  The small risk of getting the size or fit wrong has been 100% worth it for me personally.

So far I’ve made quite a few successful purchases from US website Forever21.com (I told you guys about it here and here).  But recently I decided I would give some local sites a bash too.

The first was relatively new venture, Zando.  I was lucky enough to be the proud new owner of a R100 Zando voucher, thanks to a lucky draw on total sweetheart, Saturday Girl SA‘s blog.  So it just made sense that I should give their online shopping experience a little test drive.

I had my heart set on a pair of simple Zoom pumps for only R229.  You see I’ve been on a mission to refresh my wardrobe basics, and a good pair of pumps that matches everything is a winter must have in my book.  But to use my R100 voucher, I had to spend a minimum of R300.  So to make up the difference I also added a pair of drop earrings and a pair of gym secret socks (yes yes I know… super boring… but mine’s forever going missing OK).

Things I liked about the site:

  • The product categories are well organised.
  • The site search option works like a charm.
  • You can filter by brand, shoe size, colour and price.
  • They have multiple images for each item so you can see it from every angle and then you can also zoom in to make sure you are happy with the quality.
  • The cart, checkout and payment process is quick & simple.
  • FREE delivery & FREE returns (only for exchanges/replacements) within SA for orders over R150.  Just read all the terms & conditions.

Things I did not like:

  • Once an item is in your cart, you can’t see what size you had selected.  This irritated me as I like checking, double checking & triple checking before I click on confirm.
  • The order confirmation email also doesn’t state your selected size.  Again, more worrying about whether you got it right…
  • The clothing section is a bit of a snooze fest.

I placed my order just after 7pm on Tue, 27 Mar.  By the next day, I got a call asking whether they could deliver between 2pm and 4pm.  I was really surprised & impressed, I mean that was less than 24hrs.  That’s pretty damn good for online purchases of any kind.

The box arrived looking like so:

The problem was that the box only contained my shoes.  There was no sign of the earrings & gym socks. Hmmmm…

I called their call centre.  The guy who assisted me promised that he would find out what happened and call me back immediately.  The aftenoon passed, but nobody got back to me.   So I decided to also email them that evening, explaining the problem.

The next day (Wed), someone got back to me via email.  The lady stated that the socks were actually out of stock and that they would be giving me a R50 voucher to make up for it.  The earrings were apparently due to arrive that afternoon.  I told her that I did not want yet another voucher, because then you’re just locked into making another purchase you don’t actually need or want.  So she said she would therefore submit a request to refund me for the socks.  I also informed them that the shoes actually seemed to be a very small fit and that I’d need to swap the size 5′s I ordered for a size 6.

Wed passed without receiving the earrings and I also did not get any further feedback on the refund.  On Thu though, they did come to collect my size 5 shoes.

On Fri morning I sent off another email to follow up.  Nobody got back to me.  But then later on that day reception called and said that there was another Zando package for me.  This time the box contained the size 6 shoes, the earrings and the socks.  Finally we had everything sorted.

My goodies - the earrings turned out to be much bigger than I anticipated. But I've done a DIY job on them, taking off 3 of the pieces on each and now it works.

In the end I didn’t need the refund and everything was finally sorted, but I must admit that the multiple deliveries were really annoying.  Especially because the delivery guy would just rock up without giving you a heads up.  That first shoe delivery was the only one where they actually called me beforehand.  Also I though the swapping of the shoes could have been done in one step – ie. pick up & give me the other pair at the same time. Seems pretty simple to me…

Obviously the free delivery & returns helped a lot.  If I was footing the bill for it, I would have been seriously p’d off.  But if their deliveries come through in drips & drabs in general, I’m sure they are losing money.

Will I buy from them again?  Well also in my box was yet another R100 voucher (on a minimum R300 spend), so I might be tempted again…  But I’m hoping that they are working on fine-tuning their processes, otherwise I’ll just avoid multiple item purchases. ;)

Check out Lovisa for some cool accessories

Australian jewellery & hair accessories brand Lovisa has opened a store in Canal Walk (lower lever, shop 144A).

A while back I was on a mission to find some bronze or dirty gold toned accessories.  I first stopped off at Accessorize, then Sass Diva – my two “go to” stores when it comes to accessorising. But I weirdly didn’t have any luck.  Slightly depressed with my unsuccessful shopping mission, I decided to quickly get a fast food fix at Steers to cheer me up (I loooooove their chips, it’s my shameful little secret – I usually end up scoffing them down in my car!).  Anyhoo, as I was heading towards the food court, I walked past this new Lovisa store and decided to give it a bash.

The store is very organised.  Everything is coordinated according to their specific colour scheme, which I love – makes things so much easier.  They also have everything from very casual to super smart accessories to suit your every need.  I would have loved to show you some piccies, but they have a rule against allowing pictures to be taken of the store.  So instead, I’ve stolen some images from their website to give you an idea of their goodies:

Cool right?  I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for.  I got a leaf design bracelet for only R130 and a spiral ring for only R100:

I’m very glad that I now have a 3rd option for fun, modern accessories.  I’m not really a long term investment piece kinda girl.  I like to constantly change things up and take some risks.  So it’s better for me to buy things I won’t mind tossing away in a few months time if the trend dies or if I just happen to lose interest.  So girls, if you’re like me, go check this spot out.  I’m sure you’ll love it too.

The two new men in my life: Charles & Keith!

There is a new major player in town when it comes to fabulous shoes & bags – Charles & Keith.

The Charles & Keith brand originated in Singapore back in 1996 and has since taken the fashion world by storm. It’s been brought to our South African shores by the Foschini Group, which means you can use your Foschini group store card here ladies!

The first store in Cape Town was opened last week on the 25th of Aug in the Canal Walk shopping centre.  Actually, I’m not sure if this is the first store in the country?  I couldn’t find much info on it on the web…  Anyhoo…

Yes... come on in ladies, and bring those credit cards!

It’s a truly beautiful store.  Great lighting, great displays… all conducive to total shoe & bag indulgence.

Oooooh, look at all the pretty things...

I especially loved the super sexy in-store campaign posters:

How gorgeous is that?

I was so lucky, because while cleaning out my “every day” handbag – which had turned into a scary abyss where things go to die or disappear forever – I discovered R550 in Foschini Group vouchers!  I think I got them for my bday last year and had totally forgotten about them.  Score!

This meant I could go crazy without really worrying about the price tag. Woohoo!  Turns out thought that I really didn’t have to worry about the price tag, these shoes & bags are really well priced.  I would say Charles & Keith would be competing in the Zoom Footwear category…  Ooooh, some competition there guys…

I walked outta there with 2 new pairs of shoes – a pair of black gladiator style sandals (R349) and a sexy pair of dark purple heels (R449):

I just can't wait to show these babies off...

With my awesome vouchers, that meant I only had to pay in R248!   Just plain faaaaabulous…

I got so excited about all of the shoes, that I didn’t really pay enough attention to the bags.  So I’m gonna have to go back for a follow up visit… soon!   You guys better get your asses over there before I clean shop. ;)

Exploring the Hope St market

It’s official name is the City Bowl Market and it’s situated at nr 14 on Hope St in Gardens.  Actually, just a 2min walk away from my apartment!  Sweet… :)

As you enter the market, you’re greeted by fresh flowers, fruits & veggies:

Even fresher than Woolies!

The market is split into two areas:  Downstairs you’ll find plenty of yummy food stands and upstairs there’s a small bar and then clothing, decor & jewellery stands.

Bring on all the good stuff...

You’ll find anything from freshly baked breads, homemade jams & pestos to ready-to-eat quiches, gourmet sandwiches and build-you-own omelettes (also check out the omelette hottie):

Hmmm... So many yummy options... and the food options were pretty good too... ;)

But we totally lost our brains when we discovered Saszali Chocolates!

Hold me back people...

Carefully handcrafted, beatifully packaged, 15 delicious flavours… I was in heaven.  We decided to splurge out on a box of 4 for R50.  I went for the following flavours:

  • Citrus Blossom: natural orange flavour, encased in the rich dark 70%
  • Twilight: a fusion of white chocolate, Malibu and pineapple
  • Noisette: filled with a hazelnut praline
  • Golden Thyme: a centre infused with fresh thyme and drizzled with plenty of honey

Just check out how absolutely beautiful their packaging is!  This is the little box your choccies come in:

They also have wooden boxes for larger selections as well. And also a super cute singlet box and gift bags.

And then once you open it up, you find your amazing little treats, individually wrapped each with it’s own little flavour story included:

To pretty to eat! OK, that's a lie... they didn't last very long...

And trust me, they taste just as good as they look!  It’s the perfect gift idea for any sugar lover out there.   I’m certainly going to be getting myself a couple of “gifts from me, to me”. ;)

The one thing I really liked about this market was that it’s not as crowded as the Neighbourgoods Market at the Old Biscuit Mill.  But then again, I guess it’s just a matter of time before it becomes just as “hip” and popular.

Lots of seating place to sit enjoy your goodies

I was totally in awe of the cheese & cured meats on offer…  I love cheese & parma ham!   Mmmmm…. Just look at these amazing blocks of “boere kaas”:

If I got them all, would that be too much? Nah...

Oooh, and look at these lovely looking salads – which you could have “on a plate” for R45 or “in a pita” for R35:

Yum, yum, yum!

But as fresh, healthy and tasty as that looked… I was on a serious mission to indulge in all the “evil stuffs”…  One option was these delicious looking cupcakes:

Come to mama...

But then… the ultimate treat… pancakes! Mr Pancake Perfect himself, Siegfried Kitching, was there serving up fluffy & sweet perfection:

Took me back to my childhood... I used to loooove those "kerk bazaar" pancakes the church ladies used to serve up...

Next we headed upstairs. Now I’m not a vintage clothing person (it just slightly creeps me out that someone else has worn the clothes), but if that is your thing, then you’ll find lots of treasures here.

Just make sure you have enough time to 'hunt' for that perfect item

I was excited to see the Jam stand – they sell “beautiful things with love”. I’ve seen some of their things in little decor shops and I especially love their heart shaped wooden cutting boards.

I'm a total sucker for anything with a ♥ on it

As for the jewellery options – I was fascinated by Zoe Designs.  Designer Helen du Toit makes beautiful, unique rings with antique teaspoons and cake forks:

Such a cool idea!

These next ones have been hand cut with pretty designs.  The bowl of the teaspoon forms the accent part of the ring:

Absolutely gorgeous...

Some other fun things were the oh-so-pretty brooches from Bow Peep:

Loved the mix of fabrics. They do hair accessories & buttons as well.

But after all those creative vibes, our brains needed a break, so we checked out the little bar area:

Take some time out to do a wine tasting, or sample on of the beers from several interesting microbreweries.

Here you get a nice view of the ground floor, you can see at this point it was really buzzing:

I'm watching you market goers... mwhahahahaha...

For me, it was a bit too early for wine or beer.  So I rather opted for a flavour packed cappuccino:

Coffee that packs a punch! It was brilliant.

I have to say though, they do need more than just one coffee stand.  That queue was loooooong and there’s nothing worse than cranky caffeine freaks. haha

But that’s it people.  Go check it out.  It really is quite charming, and seeing as it’s pretty much right on my doorstep, I will be visiting it frequently I’m sure.

So excited!!!

Ooooh, I got an invitation to the Diligo Summer Launch Fashion show on 1 September!  Can’t wait, just check out the cool stuff the invite promises:

Did you see that, gift bags for guests!!!  The email also promised free snacks & drinks. Woohoo! And it’s “invite only” bitches.  I feel so special now. ;)

Diligo is an online fashion boutique.  They have lovely ladies dresses, skirts, tops, jumpsuits, shorts and accessories like belts & bags.  And I see they recently added mens shirts to their collection.  Nice.   I have been oogling their stuff online for a while now, but haven’t yet made a purchase.  Not because I haven’t found lots of things that I’d love to own, but I just personally am a bit nervous about ordering clothing online.   So this will be a great opportunitiy to check out their clothing in person.   They do seem to have a great returns policy available on their website though if you’re not happy with your purchase.

Yay! OK, I have to start planning what I’m going to wear… Hmmm…
